One day. That’s how long the Raiders went without any players on their reserve/COVID-19 list. On Wednesday, they activated tackle Trent Brown, CB Lamarcus Joyner, and RB Theo Riddick from the reserve/COVID-19 list. Thursday they placed rookie LB Tanner Muse on the list along with practice squad TE Nick Bowers.

Muse has been on the team’s injured reserve list the entire season. Being that he was placed on the list after the final cuts were made, he has been eligible to return since week four. If he has been placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list because of a positive test, he will not be able to return for a couple weeks. And with the way it’s been going with several of the players who have tested positive for the Raiders this season, it could be longer than that.

Whether Muse is eligible to play at all his rookie season is secondary. Right now he and Bowers have their health to think about. As Trent Brown and Clelin Ferrell can attest, this illness is not to be taken lightly. They both suffered serious symptoms of the illness and the recovery time can be extensive.
