All charges dropped against Bills DT Ed Oliver in Houston

The 2020 offseason has been particularly uneasy for Bills defensive tackle Ed Oliver.Like all of us, Oliver is dealing with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. On top of that, Oliver made a personal mistake.During the early morning hours of May 16, Oliver was arrested for driving while intoxicated and unlawful possession of a weapon. But according to a report on Wednesday via FOX 26 in Houston, all charges have been dropped against the 22-year-old.The Wednesday report cites the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, stating a “lack of evidence” as the reasoning for the dismissal.Blood results reportedly came back negative. The firearm charge was also dropped because it’s no longer illegal for Oliver to face that charge unless he’s charged with “another criminal act” or if he was “intoxicated.”
