UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling fires back at T.J. Dillashaw dismissing comments.

It didn’t take long for [autotag]Aljamain Sterling[/autotag] to fire back at T.J. Dillashaw’s recent comments.

The UFC bantamweight champion took to Twitter on Tuesday afternoon to respond to Dillashaw’s (17-4 MMA, 13-4 UFC) comments saying Sterling (21-3 MMA, 13-3 UFC) is not championship caliber and that Dillashaw has fought much tougher competition than Sterling.

“.@TJDillashaw who TF have you beaten that is soOoOoo much tougher than the guys I’ve faced? 😂,” Sterling wrote on Twitter. “This is Comedy Central. You should do stand up with @HenryCejudo. He’s your daddy, after he sonned your needled ass💉.”

Sterling is coming off his first title defense where he outpointed Petr Yan in a closely contested rematch in the co-main event of UFC 273 on April 9. He’s currently on a seven-fight winning streak and hasn’t lost a fight since 2017. Sterling’s current run includes many notable names such as Yan, Cory Sandhagen and Pedro Munhoz.

Meanwhile, Dillashaw is looking to get the next title shot. He’s healing up from a knee surgery from an injury sustained in his UFC return in July 2021 where he defeated Sandhagen via split decision. Dillashaw is a former UFC bantamweight champion. He relinquished his title in 2019 and shortly after was suspended by USADA for two years for testing positive for EPO.
