Alex Forsyth selected by Denver Broncos in seventh round of the 2023 NFL Draft

The first offensive lineman for the Oregon Ducks has come off of the board in the 2023 NFL Draft, with the Denver Broncos selecting center Alex Forsyth in the 7th round, with the 257th overall pick.

While Forsyth was unable to participate much in the NFL combine or at the Oregon Pro Day, the tape that he put on over the years at Oregon and his loads of experience was enough for any NFL team to feel confident that they were getting a true leader in the locker room, and a high football-IQ individual on the offensive line.

Forsyth was a Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year finalist in 2022, and a second-team All-American for the Ducks.

Though he dealt with some injuries in his career at Oregon, he started the majority of games that he played in, and often acted as a coordinator for the offensive line, checking in and out of protections while getting the entire unit in the right spot. Under his leadership, the Ducks had one of the best lines in the nation in 2022.

Forsyth is the sixth Oregon player to be drafted in 2023, with CB Christian Gonzalez being selected by the New England Patriots in the first round, and DE DJ Johnson going to the Carolina Panthers in the third round.
