The Texas Rangers and the Baltimore Orioles play Game 2 of an AL Division Series Sunday. First pitch from Oriole Park at Camden Yards is scheduled for 4:07 p.m. ET (FS1). Let’s analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Rangers vs. Orioles odds and make our expert MLB picks and predictions for the best bets.

ALDS Series: Rangers lead 1-0

The Rangers picked up where they left off in St. Petersburg against the Tampa Bay Rays, winning Game 1 of the ALDS on Saturday afternoon in Baltimore by a 3-2 count.

Texas pitching has been phenomenal in 3 postseason games, allowing a total of just 3 runs, leading to 3 straight wins with 2 Under results. The Rangers plated 2 runs in the top of the 4th in Game 1, with OF Evan Carter posting an RBI double, and C Jonah Heim following with an RBI single. 3B Josh Jung added insurance with a solo HR in the top of the 6th.

The Orioles fans packed the house with 46,450 fans, which might have seemed like night and day to the Rangers after the dismal crowds for the Rays in the wild-card series. A rain delay didn’t ruin the enthusiasm of the sellout crowd for the first home playoff game for the O’s since 2014.

Baltimore has now dropped 3 of the past 4 games overall dating back to the regular season despite that its pitching has yielded just 17 runs during a 9-game span (1.9 runs per game (RPG)) which has led the Under to an impressive 9-0 run.

Rangers at Orioles picks and predictions

Prediction

Rangers 4, Orioles 2

Moneyline

The RANGERS (+102) are on a serious roll, going 3-for-3 on the road in this postseason. Texas is getting timely hitting and tremendous pitching and it seems to have regained its swagger after coming apart like a cheap suit in September to fumble away the AL West Division title.

Texas is 3-1 this season at Camden Yards this season, and the Orioles are relying on a rookie pitcher to turn things around in Game 2. Meanwhile, the Rangers can turn to the southpaw Montgomery, who not only has more postseason experience overall, but he just quieted the bats of the Rays for 7 scoreless frames in Game 1 of their AL Wild Card Series. Advantage Texas.

Run line/Against the spread

The RANGERS -1.5 (+164) are worth a roll of the dice at this price point.

Texas has covered the run line as an underdog in all 3 games, winning each contest outright. It has also outscored the opposition 14-3 in the playoffs so far, winning by 4 or more runs on 2 occasions.

Over/Under

The UNDER 8 (-115) is the play in Game 2. The O’s cobbled together just 2 total runs in Game 1, while the pitching staff did its job for the most part. Baltimore is on a 9-0 Under run dating back to the regular season, allowing just 1.9 RPG during the impressive span. Until Baltimore starts hitting Over results on a regular basis, keep going low on O’s totals.
