Alabama football got the win at home over New Mexico State to improve to 9-1 on the season, with the lone loss to Texas A&M on the road. In the latest College Football Playoff rankings, the committee ranks the Crimson Tide at No. 2 in the nation, the same as last week.
With two games remaining against Arkansas and Auburn, Alabama looks to win out and make the SEC Championship game to face Georgia, and fight for a spot in the top-four to compete for national championship No. 19.
In the latest rankings, the Crimson Tide’s former and future opponents make some moves, which help Alabama’s resume.
Here’s where Alabama’s opponents rank:
25. Mississippi State (Alabama won 49-9)
21. Arkansas (Score: TBD)
16. Texas A&M (Alabama loss 41-38)
12. Ole Miss (Alabama win 42-21)
Georgia remains the top-ranked team in the nation, meaning the SEC Championship could be a matchup between No. 1 and No. 2.
