Alabama WR Henry Ruggs III compares himself to Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill

With the Raiders filling most of their biggest holes in free agency, they are free to pick the best players available at picks No. 12 or No. 19. Considering they still need a receiver and the depth of this class, it’s very likely that the best player available will be a receiver.

Over the last few weeks, Alabama wide receiver Henry Ruggs III has gained some steam as the first receiver who could come off the board. With 4.27 speed and the ability to make plays all over the field, Ruggs has the game-breaking speed that teams will covet, especially after watching Kansas City won the Super Bowl with Tyreek Hill as their top receiver.

On the Jim Rome Show earlier this week, Ruggs compared himself to Hill due to his ability to outrun every defensive back in the NFL. He also believes he shares similarities with DeAndre Hopkins and Jarvis Landry. Take a look at the full interview below:

The Raiders certainly have a history of targeting fast receivers. But will they be able to pass on two super productive receivers in CeeDee Lamb and Jerry Jeudy in favor of Ruggs? It’s possible given just how rare it is to find a player with that type of speed.

Ruggs is going to be one of the hottest players on draft day as he was one of two players to run a sub 4.37 40-yard dash at NFL Combine. Don’t be shocked if Ruggs is the first receiver off the board come April’s draft.
