Alabama senior wide receiver DeVonta Smith added another award to his growing list of accomplishments on Friday when CBS Sports named Smith its college football player of the year.

On Thursday, Smith was named one of four finalists for the Heisman Trophy, which will be awarded next month.

Earlier this week, Smith was named first-team All-SEC and won SEC offensive player of the year.

Smith caught 98 passes for 1,511 yards and 17 touchdowns. Smith also rushed for a touchdown and returned one punt for a score, too.

Smith was the most dominant wide receiver in all of college football and stepped up into an even bigger role when fellow receiver, Jaylen Waddle, was lost for the regular season with an injury.

More hardware could be coming Smith’s way in March as he is one of three finalists for the Biletnikoff Award, given annually to college football’s premier wide receiver.

Smith and the No. 1 Crimson Tide return to action on New Year’s Day in the College Football Playoff when they face No. 4 Notre Dame.
