On Sunday, the latest AP Top 25 poll was released. LSU was still in the NO. 1 spot with Alabama also still in the No. 5 spot after beating Western Carolina 66-3 on Saturday.
LSU remained No. 1 for the fifth straight week in the AP Top 25, receiving 50 first-places votes. No. 2 Ohio State got nine first-place votes, up from five last week. No. 3 Clemson had the other three.

Alabama has now been ranked for 209 consecutive weeks, which is currently the third-longest streak in poll history.
