Alabama softball wins two run-rule games on Saturday

Alabama Crimson Tide had two run-rule games as they defeated Louisville 9-0 in 5 innings, and then beat Penn State 14-6 in the 6th inning

On Saturday, the Alabama Crimson Tide had two run-rule games as they defeated Louisville 9-0 in 5 innings, and then beat Penn State 14-6 in the 6th inning at the Easton Bama Bash in Tuscaloosa.

In game one against Louisville, Alabama’s Lexi Kilfoyl showed up big for Alabama as she threw a no run shutout while striking out 5 and gave up only 3 hits.

Offensively, Alabama’s KB Sides put up a career high 5 RBIs during Alabama’s impressive 9-0 win.

In game two against Penn State, Alabama’s Krystal Goodman allowed 6 runs while striking out 5.

Although the tired struggled early down 5-0, they regained composure and momentum in the 4th inning, and kept it after that as Alabama came back to defeat Penn State 14-6.

The Tide was led by Morgan who had 1 HR and 6 RBI, as well as Clark who also recorded one HR and 2 RBI.

Also, Maddie Morgan was the player of the day as she posted a .750 average, and had 3 hits and 7 RBIs.

Alabama will face Louisville one more time tomorrow at 1:30 PM CT to wrap up the 2020 Easton Bama Bash.
