After suffering a loss to Tennessee on the road, Alabama basketball had two impressive wins at home. Now, the Crimson Tide took this winning streak on the road, as the team came back to defeat Georgia in Athens 85-76.
Despite being down double digits in the first half and for a decent chunk of the second half, Nate Oats’ team did not slow down. After climbing back to tie the game with under 10 minutes to go, the Crimson Tide fought hard for the lead. Once the Tide got the lead, they weren’t letting go.
Mark Sears led the team in scoring with 23, but Grant Nelson was not far behind with 20. A full box score breakdown will be shared on Roll Tide Wire soon.
Alabama now moves on to Mississippi State with an overall record of 15-6 and an in-conference record of 7-1. The Crimson Tide stands alone atop the SEC, but South Carolina looms just behind.
