Alabama Crimson Tide offensive lineman Miles McVay is reportedly set to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal when it opens, according to reports Sunday.
McVay, a redshirt freshman offensive tackle, is currently in his second year in Tuscaloosa where he has been a reserve along Alabama’s offensive front each of the last two years. This season, McVay has been a primary backup option at offensive tackle, as well as seeing time on special teams.
Prior to Alabama, McVay came to Tuscaloosa as a member of the Crimson Tide’s 2023 recruiting class as a four-star prospect, as well as the No. 196 overall player in the nation according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. McVay also ranked as the No. 16 overall offensive tackle, as well as the No. 3 player in the state of Illinois where he attended East St. Louis High School.
The redshirt freshman is the first Alabama offensive lineman to enter the transfer portal this season.
