Alabama named a finalist to land 2025 5-star WR Caleb Cunningham

One of the top prospects in the Magnolia state released his top schools list on Monday. 2025 five-star wide receiver Caleb Cunningham listed Alabama as one of 12 finalists to land his commitment.

Over the years, Alabama has done an exceptional job of recruiting the state of Mississippi. Now, with a new coaching staff being assembled, it will be important to hone in and prioritize the Magnolia state.

One of the reasons why is 2025 five-star wide receiver Caleb Cunningham. On Monday, Cunningham released his top schools list which included the Crimson Tide.

Cunningham plays for Choctaw County High School in Ackerman, Mississippi. He is listed at 6-foot-3 and 180 pounds.

Scouting analyst Gabe Brooks of 247Sports provided an evaluation for Cunningham several months ago.

“Unverified size and athleticism, but clearly possesses physical traits and excellent functional athleticism on tape. Know less about him than most other wideouts in the class, but definitely aware that he’s a dynamic basketball player with big production on the hardwood. Translates body control and bounce to ball-winning mismatch effectiveness at wideout. Unstoppable in red-zone situations. Strong-handed in traffic. Runs hard in run-after-catch situations and bowls his way through arm tackles. Long-striding gait that creates necessity for build-up speed. Natural route sense and spatial awareness. Question the top-end athlete from speed and lateral perspectives relative to others in the class, though athletic profile is admittedly excellent with the hoops context. Projects as a high-major impact player with a long-term ceiling that could lead to NFL Draft consideration.”

Alabama will certainly have their work cut out for them. Schools like Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and Georgia have each hosted Cunningham for multiple unofficial visits. Needless to say, it will be intriguing to see which schools Cunningham decides to visit in the coming months.
