Alabama Morning Drive: ‘Bama hoops returns to hardwood today

The top stories involving the Alabama Crimson Tide and the rest of the SEC on Friday morning.

How the SEC fared on Thursday and what’s to come on Friday

We have already discussed the monumental upset that the Kentucky Wildcats suffered on Thursday. So how did the other SEC teams perform? Well, Tennessee made quick work of Longwood, defeating the Lancers 88-56. Arkansas got all they wanted from Vermont in the nightcap as they squeaked by the Catamounts 75-71.

Three more SEC teams will get their shot on Friday, the aforementioned Crimson Tide, the Auburn Tigers, and LSU Tigers will all hit the hardwood in hopes of advancing to the round of 32.

Auburn will tip things off against Jacksonville State at 11:40 a.m. CT on TRU while LSU will and Iowa State will tip at 6:20 p.m. CT on TBS.

Let’s see if the SEC can send five of its six tournament teams to the round of 32.

That is going to put an end to our Friday edition of Alabama Morning Drive. I hope everyone has a safe and happy day. Make sure to stay tuned to Roll Tide Wire for all the latest on the Alabama Crimson Tide!
