The Alabama coaching staff extended an offer to 2025 point guard Mikel Brown Jr. on Friday.

Brown Jr. plays for Sunrise Christian Academy in Wichita, Kansas. As a junior, he was a part of a team that had several elite 2023 prospects like five-stars Layden Blocker and John Bol.

He is regarded as the top player in Kansas by every recruiting circuit for the 2025 class. In comparison to recent point guards at Alabama, he is relatively smaller in stature. Brown Jr. stands at 6 feet, 150 pounds.

He will have time to grow as he will begin his junior season in the fall. It will be interesting to see how Alabama’s coaching staff decides to pursue the Florida native. He is currently being pursued heavily by Kansas State. The Wildcats are the favorite to land Brown Jr. at 100% likelihood, according to On3’s RPM.
