Alabama makes move to No. 1 in AP Top 25

Alabama Crimson Tide and No. 1 are synonymous after the latest AP Top 25 poll was released today following Clemson’s loss to Notre Dame.

Alabama is 6-0 and is the only team in the SEC with an undefeated record. While it sat comfortably behind Clemson at No. 2 in the nation, it looked as if there wasn’t a potential win that would give would give it the push to move past the Tigers, assuming they also ran the table.

As it turns out, all Alabama had to do was not play a game.

Despite the Crimson Tide having an open week, they moved up one spot to No. 1 in the nation, according to the latest AP Poll.

Clemson suffered its first loss of the season to Notre Dame, which moved up to No. 2, bumping Clemson down to No. 4.

Alabama was a nearly unanimous pick for No. 1, receiving 59 of 62 first place votes.
