In one of the most entertaining college baseball games you will see, Alabama dropped an extra-inning heartbreaker to the top overall seed Florida Gators 7-6 on Wednesday night.
After nine innings, the game was knotted up at three runs apiece and the teams headed to extras from the Hoover Met in the 2023 SEC Tournament.
Alabama appeared to seize command in the top of the 11th when Tommy Seidl hit a bases-clearing three-run double to give the Crimson Tide a 6-3 lead heading into the bottom of half of the inning.
Florida would quickly respond with an RBI double before BT Riopelle walked it off for the Gators with a three-run home run.
Fortunately for the Tide, its run in the SEC Tournament is not over yet as they will now face the Auburn Tigers in an elimination game on Thursday.
