Alabama looks to carry momentum into second half vs. Arkansas

The Alabama Crimson Tide started off slow, but have since picked up their level of play as the two teams head into the half. With a score…

No. 1 Alabama started off slow against unranked Araknsas, each kicking a field goal to keep the scoring tied at three for most of the first quarter. At the half, Alabama leads 38-3.

DeVonta Smith kicked off the Crimson Tide touchdown party with an 84-yard punt return for a touchdown. At the half, he has three receptions for 22 yards, he also has three punt returns for the one touchdown and 111 yards.

Overall, Alabama’s receiving has had a slow start. With six different receivers, they have a combined 17 receptions for 156 yards and no touchdowns, all courtesy of Mac Jones.

Najee Harris continues to find his way into the end zone multiple times a game. So far, he has two touchdowns along with 46 yards off of 14 carries.

However, Harris has company in the backfield, as Brian Robinson has also scored two touchdowns, while carrying the ball seven times for 24 yards and three receptions for 16 yards.

Arkansas’ defense has proven to be effective, but not strong enough to hold back one of the toughest offenses in the league.

Christian Harris has been downgraded to out for the remainder of the game after leaving due to a shoulder injury on the first play of the game.

The Alabama defense has continued to be strong, holding Feleipe Franks and K.J. Jefferson to a combined four completions for 56 yards and the run game has been limited to 19 carries for nine yards across four different ball carriers.

The Crimson Tide will look to build upon their first half lead and finish the regular season strong.
