The Lott Trophy is awarded annually to players who demonstrate excellence in athletics and recognizes college football’s Defensive Player of the Year who best exemplifies the IMPACT acronym: Integrity, Maturity, Performance, Academics, Community and Tenacity.
This year’s Watch List has 16 linebackers, 15 defensive backs and 11 defensive linemen.
Moses was predicted to be a first round pick entering the 2019 season until a torn ACL scratched those plans. Moses sat out the entire season and was one of the players Alabama missed on defense the most. In his first two seasons for Alabama, Moses had 116 tackles, 5 sacks, 1 forced fumble and 1 pass deflection.
The last Alabama player to win the Lott IMPACT Trophy was former Alabama linebacker DeMeco Ryans in 2005.
