Aaron Butler, a 2024 cornerback prospect, released his top-five on Wednesday. He included Alabama as a finalist.
Butler plays for Calabasas High School in Calabasas, California. As a junior, he recorded 15 tackles and one interception. 247Sports’ Greg Biggins compared Butler to New England Patriots safety Jack Jones.
The expectation is that Butler will commit to the program of his choice in either April or May. His decision will precede visits to several schools that are finalists in his recruitment.
In a recent interview with Biggins, here is what Butler had to say about Alabama:
“I have a great connection with Holman Wiggins (WR coach). I’m building a relationship with him and he has also reached out to my parents and will text with them as well so they’re not just recruiting me but my whole family. Nick Saban is the GOAT and he actually recruited my dad (Robb Butler) when he was coaching at Michigan State. My dad ended up signing with Pitt but he liked coach Saban a lot and we still talk about that all the time. Alabama has had great success developing wide receivers and always has a really strong QB room as well.”
