Alabama football: What each NFL draft-eligible player should do

Which Alabama juniors should leave school early for the 2020 NFL Draft?

Landon Dickerson, Offensive Guard/Center

Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (13) talks with offensive lineman Landon Dickerson (69) before the Texas A&M game at Kyle Field in College Station, Texas on Saturday October 12, 2019.

Landon Dickerson proved to be a valuable addition to the Alabama roster this season. After starting his career at Florida State, the grad transfer made his way to Tuscaloosa prior to fall camp and almost immediately assumed a starting role.

After Deonte Browns’ return from suspension, Dickerson made the move from right guard, where he started the first four games, to center and didn’t look back.

Dickerson plays with a tenacious, nasty style that NFL offensive line coaches will love, but does that mean he should leave early for the draft? Probably not. During his time with the Seminoles, Dickerson struggled to stay healthy and saw multiple seasons end prematurely due to injury.

The 6-6, 308-pound redshirt junior managed to stay healthy during his first season at Alabama, but another year avoiding the injury bug could put that “injury prone” label to rest.

What he should do? Stay.
