Alabama football: What each NFL draft-eligible player should do

Which Alabama juniors should leave school early for the 2020 NFL Draft?

Terrell Lewis, Edge Rusher

Terrell Lewis is one of the feel-good stories for this 2019 Alabama squad. For the last few seasons, the 6-5, 254-pound edge rusher was considered one of the Tide’s top breakout candidates on defense.

Unfortunately for Lewis and Alabama, injury after injury prevented those predictions from coming to fruition — at least until this year.

It took Lewis a few games to assume a full-time role, but the results were impressive. He ranked second on the team in sacks (6.0) behind Anfernee Jennings, but he also led the team in quarterback hurries with 16. The next closes was Jennings, who only had eight.

Lewis brings length as a pass rusher. He has a violent style of play that is a lot of fun to watch, and he’s got tree trunks for arms, which allows him to keep opposing offensive lineman off his chest.

Considering he managed to shed the injury prone label this season, Lewis should take full advantage of that fortune to go make his money on the next level — even if he does end up falling to sometime on Day 2.

What he should do? Leave.
