Alabama football: Ranking the top 5 uniform concepts

The Alabama jerseys have stayed the same for a while, but what could they look like if they changed? We rank the top 5 concepts we’ve seen.

4. A gray “experimental” design

Touchdown Alabama Magazine tweeted out these experimental uniforms, which featured a lot of gray — a color not currently found in the Crimson Tide’s uniforms we see today. However, the most controversial aspect of the jerseys were the designs on the shoulder pads, as well as the white-to-red gradient on the numbers.

The gradient numbers were recently featured on the new uniforms to two NFL teams: the Los Angeles Rams and the Atlanta Falcons. But those new concepts were both met with a healthy amount of anger and jokes from NFL fans.

Overall, the designing work behind creating this is admirable. The fans voiced their opinions, which ultimately resulted in it checking in this low on our list. Touchdown Alabama even responded to their own tweet with a GIF claiming they would need to go “back to the drawing board.”
