On Wednesday, the National Football Foundation (NFF) and College Football Hall of Fame announced that former Alabama football star E.J. Junior has been selected for induction to the College Football Hall of Fame.

Junior, who helped lead Alabama to two national championships during his career at Alabama was also a unanimous First Team All-American in 1980. He was also a three-time first team All-SEC player.
He helped lead Alabama to national championships in 1978 and 1979, and was named the 1980 SEC Lineman of the Year.
He would go on to be drafted as the fifth overall pick in the 1981 NFL Draft by the St. Louis/Phoenix Cardinals. He also played for the Miami Dolphins Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Seattle Seahawks during his NFL career.
After his professional career as an athlete, he began coaching in the NFL as well. He started out as a linebackers coach for the Seattle Seahawks and several other NFL and college teams before eventually ending up where he is now, the Defensive Line Coach at Delaware State.
