The Alabama Crimson Tide will take the field for the 2023 college football season in 79 days, as Middle Tennessee State visits Bryant Denny Stadium on Sept. 2.

Currently, there isn’t a player on the Alabama roster that is assigned the No. 79, so we will look at the last scholarship player to wear it, former Tide offensive lineman, [autotag]Chris Owens[/autotag].
Owens competed in nearly 50 games for the Crimson Tide seeing action at practically every position along the offensive line. Owens totaled 1,715 snaps during his college career.
