The Alabama Crimson Tide will take the field for the 2023 college football season in 63 days, as Middle Tennessee State visits Bryant Denny Stadium on Sept. 2.
Here at Roll Tide Wire, we will be counting down the days until [autotag]Nick Saban[/autotag] and his team take the field.
No. 63 hasn’t been a prevalent number as of late in Tuscaloosa. That said, we will go back a few years to look at a former Alabama player that wore No. 63, J.C. Hassenauer.
Hassenauer was a member of the Crimson Tide from 2014-17 where he was primarily a backup at guard and center for Alabama. Hassenauer went undrafted in the 2018 NFL draft but is currently a member of the New York Giants.
Hassenauer has made eight starts in the NFL and has made an appearance in 45 total games.
