Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide continue to win on the recruiting trail. This time around Nick Saban defeated Mike Leach and Mississippi State, flipping a 2022 preferred walk-on quarterback.
An in-state product out of Hewitt-Trussville, Cade Ott Carruth was originally committed to Mississippi State, he made that decision on Jan. 31 of this year.
Today, via his Twitter, the rising freshman quarterback announced that he would be staying in the state of Alabama to join the Crimson Tide as a preferred walk on.
He held offers from schools such as Jacksonville State and South Alabama, but chose to become a member of the Crimson Tide and be coached by Nick Saban.
In the tweet, he mentions having a great meeting with Saban and offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien.
After a great meeting with Coach Saban and Coach O'Brien and discussion with my family I’ve decided to flip my commitment to the University of Alabama 🐘🐘Roll Tide!!! @Alex_Mortensen_ @AlabamaFTBL @HuskyFastNet @HuskyFast @joshfloydHT @QBC_Bham pic.twitter.com/piktIK5NbG
