Alabama CB coach Karl Scott to leave Crimson Tide for NFL job

The Minnesota Vikings are the latest team to have grabbed an Alabama assistant coach from Nick Saban’s crew. This tie, it’s Karl Scott.

Another Alabama assistant coach will be departing from the program before the start of the 2021 season.

This time, it’s Karl Scott, the Crimson Tide’s cornerback coach. He will be accepting a job with the Minnesota Vikings to be their next defensive back coach, according to Pete Thamel of Yahoo Sports.

Scott joined the Crimson Tide coaching staff in 2018 after a slew of stops. Now, after three seasons with Alabama working under Nick Saban, Scott will be coaching at the professional level.

He has been a heavy recruiter for Alabama in his short career with the team. He’s responsible for recruiting numerous five-stars, such as Patrick Suratin II and Ga’Quincy McKinstry.
