Alabama back inside top four in USA TODAY Sports AFCA Coaches Poll

Alabama moves up a spot after the Mississippi State win.

Alabama responded to their loss last week in a big way, defeating Mississippi State on the road, 49-9. It was an excellent day on both sides of the ball with both stars, Bryce Young and Will Anderson, shining bright.

With the win, the Crimson Tide moved back into a coveted top-four spot in the USA TODAY Sports AFCA Coaches Poll. Moving up one spot to No. 4, Iowa losing to Purdue at home caused some shift at the top.

The Big Ten occupies the majority of the Big Ten, with Ohio State (No. 5), Michigan (No. 6), Michigan State (No. 7), and Penn State (No. 9) all getting square to face one another.

Texas A&M went up another spot after beating Missouri at No. 17. They remain the highest two-loss team in the country, with Auburn (No. 22) and Clemson (No. 24) the only other multi-loss teams in the poll.
