Alabama appears to be out of running to land Jordan Addison

The former Pitt wide receiver is down to two choices, with Alabama missing the cut.

One of college football’s top receivers in the transfer portal is looking elsewhere for his transfer destination.

Former Pittsburgh wide receiver Jordan Allison has narrowed his transfer choices to two schools, with Alabama just missing the cut says Jordan Schultz.

Addison, who reeled in 93 catches for 1,479 yards and 17 touchdowns for Pitt last season, was at the center of controversy prior to entering the transfer portal as rumors were circulating that USC and head coach Lincoln Riley were trying to recruit Addison away from Pitt with promises of a massive NIL deal.

Even though USC has made Addison’s short list, he has been connected to several programs, including Alabama. Addison has reportedly worked out with Crimson Tide quarterback Bryce Young, and as early as Sunday, was planning on taking a visit to Alabama before announcing his next stop.

Despite not being able to reel in Addison, Alabama has welcomed plenty of talent at the receiver position from the transfer portal, including Jermaine Burton from Georgia and Tyler Harrell of Louisville.
