Friday’s run-rule win is Tennessee’s eighth consecutive.
AJ Causey (2-0) started for the Vols and pitched seven innings, recording nine strikeouts. He totaled 78 pitches, including 50 strikes, against 22 batters.
Causey allowed one hit, one walk and one earned run. The one hit allowed was a home run to Bowling Green second baseman Tyler Ross in the second inning.
