A.J. Brown insinuates Eagles players went rogue in 20-17 loss to Seahawks

A.J. Brown says Nick Sirianni stood up for Eagles wide receivers and QB who were guilty of freelancing, improvising and doing their own thing in loss to Seahawks

A.J. Brown addressed the media on Wednesday, and the most telling moment may have come when the All-Pro talked about Nick Sirianni constantly falling on the sword for his embattled team.

One example was the controversy surrounding Jalen Hurts going deep to A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith on plays rather than taking what the Seattle defense gave.

While addressing the media, Brown hinted at the Eagles pass catchers “freelancing” and doing their own thing down the stretch.

Hurts was sick that night, but there are no excuses to be made, as Seahawks backup QB Drew Lock outplayed the All-Pro.

Hurts was intercepted twice and passed up several open targets on multiple plays, choosing to chase deep balls to A.J. Brown.

Brown had five catches for 56 yards on ten targets, while DeVonta Smith had five for 50 yards on five targets.
