‘Aggies take care of Aggies.’ Von Miller excited to face fellow former Texas A&M star Mike Evans on Thursday night

Ahead of Thursday Night Football, Buffalo Bills LB Von Miller commented on the Aggie bond formed with Tampa Bay WR Mike Evans.

Ahead of Tamp Bay’s road trip to face the Buffalo Bills on Thursday Night Football, Bills linebacker Von Miller and Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans, both first-ballot Hall of Famers, share an Aggie bond due to their legendary careers in Aggie land, and to this day, said bond grows stronger by the year.

Earlier this week, Miller, who sat down with the media to preview the matchup, noted that no matter who leaves victorious on Thursday, his friendship with Evans is unbreakable, especially on the golf course.

“I love Mike, we played golf together a couple times. I was there when he first fell in love with it, so, that’s really special to me because I really love golf. I have a golfing buddy in Mike Evans. Aggies take care of Aggies. It’as always good when you’re playing against the good guys.”

Before setting several NFL records, Miller’s trajectory to becoming one of the most feared pass rushers in the NFL started during his 2009 junior season in College Station, playing in the jack postion, a hybrid spot between linebacker and defensive end, where he would lead the country with 17.5 sacks, including an impressive 21.5 tackles for loss. Miller ended his Aggie career with 33.0 sacks, good for fifth in Texas A&M history. In 14 seasons with the Denver Broncos, Los Angeles Rams, and the Bills, Miller is 27th in career sacks with 123.5

Evans, whose two memorable Aggies seasons with Heiman-winning quarterback Johnny Manziel are even more special for younger Aggie fans, where he reeled in 2,499 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns. In year 10 with Tampa Bay, Evans has already accumulated 10,449 receiving yards, while his 85 touchdowns are good for 14th in NFL history.

Tampa Bay vs. Buffalo will start at 7:15 p.m. and air on Amazon Prime Video. The Bills are currently a -9.5-point favorite.
