Week 12 in the NFL season started off in blowout fashion on Thanksgiving Day, As, in annual fashion, the Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys played their eleventh games of the season, and both outcomes were heavily lopsided.
Hosting the Green Bay Packers, the Lions were not prepared for their conference foes, who would take a 23-6 lead into halftime after blitzing quarterback Jared Goff, forcing multiple fumbles in the process. Making adjustments after the half, Detroit’s 16-point comeback wasn’t enough, as Packers QB Jordan Love threw his third touchdown of the game to seal the visitors 29-22 win.
On the other side, Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is having an MVP season after throwing for 331 yards and four touchdowns en route to a 45-10 win over Washington. Still, it was cornerback Deron Bland’s NFL Record fifth interception return for a touchdown this season, as the second-year defensive back is now the favorite to win NFL Defensive Player of the Year.
