AFC West standings: Broncos are last, Chiefs reign supreme entering Week 8

The Broncos are dead last in the AFC West standings while the Chiefs are at the top.

When the 2022 NFL season began, the general consensus among experts was that the Denver Broncos would contend for the AFC West title alongside the reloaded Las Vegas Raiders, the Justin Herbert-led Los Angeles Chargers and the AFC West reigning champs, the Kansas City Chiefs. But as the world turns, so do the Broncos troubles week to week.

We are near the midway point of the season and it appears the Chiefs have proven their worth once again, as they lead the top of the standings followed by the Chargers.

The Broncos have underwhelmed this season, with the partnership of quarterback Russell Wilson and head coach Nathaniel Hackett just not happening. Luckily, ten games are left, and plenty of time to right the ship.

Kansas City has a bye week in Week 8, with Denver looking to shift themselves from the bottom of the division and back into the win column.
