AFC South news: Texans extend Cooks, Jags looking to upgrade stadium, more

A look at 10 AFC South stories from last week for Titans fans to know.

We are officially in the down time of the offseason where not much is going on as we prepare for the upcoming 2022 NFL draft; however, the Tennessee Titans’ rivals — the Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars and Houston Texans — all had some interesting headlines to take a look at.

In Houston, the Texans are keeping their best receiver in Brandin Cooks, who was inked to a contract extension. Cooks was thought to be a trade candidate, but that did not end up happening.

In Jacksonville, the Jags are looking to make upgrades to their stadium, and it appears they won’t be able to move the No. 1 overall pick even if they want to.

The Colts saw a recent draft pick retire after just two seasons in the NFL, and they had a pair of signings and a handful of workouts/pre-draft visits over the past week.

Here’s a look a those stories and more in our latest trip around the AFC South to check in on the Titans’ division rivals.
