The NFL is fully back in swing, as all 32 teams were in action for a Week 3 slate that included a mix of entertaining duels and some absolute blowouts.
After three weeks, the AFC East has one team at the top, as the Miami Dolphins are 3-0 and are the lone undefeated team left in the conference.
Mike McDaniel’s squad downed the Denver Broncos in a historic victory that saw them become the first team to score 70 points in a game since Washington accomplished the feat in 1966. They also held Russell Wilson and company to just one offensive touchdown, and the most impressive part is that they had that type of performance without Jaylen Waddle.
The Buffalo Bills also had themselves a great Week 3, as they blew out the Washington Commanders 37-3 that was a 51-yard Joey Slye field goal with less than a minute remaining away from being a shutout. Josh Allen seems to be back to normal after the abysmal performance in the season opener, as he threw a passing touchdown and ran another in. Their 2-1 start means they’re in second place in the division just behind Miami.
Bill Belichick’s New England Patriots and Robert Saleh’s New York Jets met for a rainy Sunday afternoon game at the Meadowlands that was one of the least entertaining battles of the weekend. The contest featured 16 punts, two missed field goals and a safety as neither offense really did much of anything. Both teams are now 1-2, fighting for the bottom spot in the East.
