AEW Rampage results: Darby Allin survives a Royal Rampage

The Royal Rampage and Kris Statlander defending the TBS Championship were the highlights of this week’s AEW Rampage.

There’s a normal episode of AEW Rampage, and then there’s one that includes a Royal Rampage. No normal battle royal here, as AEW needs something to do that utilizes the double-ring setup left behind by Blood and Guts.

So that’s what we’re going to be treated to tonight, with the red and blue rings in effect though the rules are pretty much the same otherwise: Get thrown over the top rope and have both feet touch the floor and you’re eliminated.

This one also serves as a vessel for some of AEW’s midcard storylines, which is a good way to do it. Oh, and the winner gets a TNT Championship shot, so there are real stakes involved as well.

Throw in an open challenge for one of the women’s titles and a team that everyone loves in trios action and you’ve got yourself a show. Let’s dive into this hour of Friday night wrestling and see what comes out of it.

  • Kris Statlander def. Marina Shafir by pinfall to retain the AEW TBS Championship
