AEW WrestleDream may be in the rearview mirror, but it’s full speed ahead for Full Gear, which takes place on Sunday, Nov. 18, from The Kia Forum in Inglewood, California. This pay-per-view’s fifth installment is set to be a marquee show with a fresh main event pairing.

On the Sept. 27 episode of Dynamite, Jay White and MJF exchanged words in the ring before a group of masked people attacked White backstage, with the ring leader wearing a devil mask. The following week, White and Bullet Club Gold accused MJF of orchestrating the attack and retaliated against him.

Switchblade stole MJF’s AEW World Championship and challenged him to a match for the title at Full Gear, which MJF accepted to end the segment.

Adam Copeland will make his PPV match debut at Full Gear, and across the ring from him will be his old friend, Christian Cage. They had an emotional interaction at the Oct. 4 episode of Dynamite, where Copeland tried convincing Cage to be his tag team partner for one last run. “Go f–k yourself,” the TNT Champion responded, which ended hopes of a reunion.

Copeland insisted he didn’t want to fight Cage, even as Sting and Darby Allin suggested he’d have no choice. The straw that broke the camel’s back came on the Nov. 1 episode of Dynamite, and now Copeland, Sting and Allin will join together to face Cage, Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne.

Also, though Swerve Strickland and Hangman Adam Page have already clashed once, Swerve seems unwilling to let their rivalry end — even showing up at Page’s house. Unsurprisingly, that move led to a rematch which will take place in Inglewood.

Full Gear goes down on Sunday, Nov. 18. As AEW announces more matches, they will be updated below.

Latest update: Nov. 17, 2023, 10:08 p.m. ET.
