AEW All In presale has already sold 36,000 tickets

Even before the general ticket sales go live, All In will be AEW’s biggest show and biggest gate to date.

AEW opened a presale Tuesday for tickets to All In at Wembley Stadium in London, England. The early results already made one thing clear: AEW will have its largest audience ever for a live event.

AEW President Tony Khan announced that over 36,000 tickets and counting have been sold for the Sunday, Aug. 27 pay-per-view. Wembley Stadium holds roughly 90,000 people, so there is still ample space to sell with just under four months before the show.

All In has already sold that many tickets without advertising any matches or wrestlers, an astonishing feat. This could guarantee a massive fan presence at the show, rivaling the attendance of WWE WrestleMania.

The last time All In happened, it was a quest to fill a 10,000-seat arena in a wrestler-promoted match before AEW existed. It was curious at that time if it could happen, but it did with ease.

AEW will attempt to sell out All In 2023, which is nearly 10 times the scale of the 2018 concept. If they can fill at least 60,000-70,000 seats, which seems only a heartbeat away, it will demonstrate the company’s elite ability to draw fans and potentially set the company up to host events in larger venues such as NFL stadiums in the future.

More remarkably, AEW has achieved this without a single match or wrestler advertised for the show. It will probably be weeks, perhaps months, before anything is announced either, especially with Double or Nothing in focus until May 27. Figure MJF enters as AEW World Champion, but it’s, for now, hard to pinpoint his potential opponent. Perhaps some type of Elite vs. Blackpool Combat Club match plays out as well.

CM Punk’s likely AEW return is the other draw. No matter his opponent, having one of pro wrestling’s most polarizing figures ever on the card draws intrigue alone.

All In’s presale success is step one for AEW. The ensuing actions should paint a clearer picture of how this show will look in a few months.
