Adoree’ Jackson, the free agent cornerback the New York Giants inked to a three-year, $39 million deal on Monday, faced the media on Tuesday via Zoom conference.
Jackson, who played his first four seasons with the Tennessee Titans after they selected him 18th overall in the 2017 NFL draft, became a free agent when he was released the day before free agency began (March 16) as a cost-cutting measure.
Jackson told reporters he felt he was ‘home’ while visiting the Giants. After all, the first player to reach out to him was former Tennessee teammate Logan Ryan, who played three years with Jackson.
Additionally, Jackson said he feels at home due to his familiarity with other Giants players such as safety Jabrill Peppers, cornerback Darnay Holmes and defensive tackle Leonard Williams, who Jackson described as “a beast.”
The upbeat former USC star was upbeat on the call and told listeners that he was a team player with a positive attitude who intends to bring joy to Giants fans. He also believes the Giants are building a winner and he wants to be a part of that.
Some other notes…
Jackson says call him Adoree’. He likes the name — no need for a nickname, although his mother called him ‘sweet pea.’ He also said he’s excited to play for defensive backs coach Jerome Henderson because he is a former player.
As for newly signed wide receiver Kenny Golladay, Jackson has never faced him in a real game, just in the Madden video game where he says he held his own. He is looking forward to facing Golladay every day in practice this year.
Adoree Jackson says he hasn't played against Kenny Golladay before, but says "I play Madden… I had him before on my team… he did me justice out there in the Madden franchise!"

Jackson seems like a solid young man both on and off the field. The Giants are building something here, folks, and that is why players such as Jackson and Golladay have come into the fold.
