Admiral Schofield signs 10-day contract

Former Vol Admiral Schofield signs 10-day contract.

A former University of Tennessee basketball player has signed a 10-day NBA contract.

Admiral Schofield was signed by Orlando Friday as an emergency replacement with several teams having players in health and safety protocols.

Schofield was playing for the Magic’s NBA G-League affiliate in Lakeland, Florida.

He appeared in Orlando’s, 100-93, victory at Brooklyn Saturday.

Schofield, who previously played for Washington, played 10 minutes against the Nets. He had five points and one assist to help Orlando snap its seven-game winning streak.

In 10 minutes, Schofield was 2-for-2 from the floor and 1-for-1 from beyond the 3-point arc.

The Magic’s game scheduled for Monday in Toronto was postponed due to COVID-19 concerns.
