Adding on late: Winston rushes in to extend Browns lead in fourth

The Browns are playing AFC North football in primetime and aren’t going away without a fight

The Cleveland Browns had a brief lead before two quick touchdowns by the Pittsburgh Steelers, and it was due to heroics from quarterback Jameis Winston.
Early in the fourth quarter, Winston scrambled from two yards out for a touchdown to extend the lead to two possessions. Cleveland elected to go for the two-point conversion and converted with a completion to tight end David Njoku, making the score 18-6 with 12:16 remaining in the game.

The drive started strong with a 29-yard completion to recently elevated tight end Blake Whiteheart. Cleveland converted two fourth downs on the drive, including the touchdown and a four-yard rush from running back Nick Chubb. Tight end Jordan Akins also contributed an 18-yard catch to get the team down to the five-yard line. Despite a drop from Njoku earlier in the drive, the Browns managed to find the end zone again.

The snow has intensified into a full-on blizzard in downtown Cleveland. Winston hasn’t posted eye-popping numbers but has managed the game effectively given the challenging weather conditions. The Browns’ defense will aim to hold strong for one more quarter and secure the upset.
