Adam Korsak might well be Rutgers Most Valuable Player this season, the senior punter having a tremendous season. That dominance continues on Saturday at Penn State.

Midway through the third quarter, Korsak had already punted eight times (the Scarlet Knights have had nine possessions at the time of this being written). None have been nicer than this one following Rutgers first possession of the second half.

Korsak nails a 74-yard punt that goes from the Scarlet Knights own 19-yard line and first makes contact with the ground at the 34-yard line. The ball bounces and then rolls down to the 8-yard line.

Talk about a switch of field position for Rutgers.

It was one of four punts through his first eight punts that have landed inside the 20-yard line. Korsak is averaging 44.6 yards per punt on those eight punts.

Korsak is a semifinalist for the Ray Guy Award, given to the nation’s top punter.
