Tennessee was recognized by the American Baseball Coaches Association, earning the 2021-22 ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award, presented by Sports Attack.
Tennessee was one of nearly 700 high school and college baseball teams presented with the award, which honors programs coached by ABCA members that posted a team GPA of 3.0 on a four-point scale for the entire academic year.
The Vols posted a 3.32 GPA for the 2021-22 academic year, while also excelling on the field.
Tennessee (57-9, 25-5 SEC) won the SEC East division for the second consecutive year, the SEC regular season and tournament championship in 2022.
2022 is the second consecutive year Tennessee has been recognized for academic excellence by the ABCA.
