Three touchdown passes from Aaron Rodgers in the first half have the Green Bay Packers well on their way to a blowout win over the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday night at Levi’s Stadium.

The Packers lead the undermanned 49ers, 21-3.

Rodgers completed 13 of 18 passes for 149 yards and three scores. He found Davante Adams for a 36-yard score, Marcedes Lewis for a 1-yard touchdown and Marquez Valdes-Scantling for a 52-yard score.

Through his first 7.5 games in 2020, Rodgers has 23 touchdown passes – putting him on pace for a new career-high.

The Packers defense gave up a long field goal drive in the first quarter but has otherwise been disruptive, with an interception from Raven Greene and a near interception by Darnell Savage serving as first-half highlights.

Overall, the Packers have 209 total yards and 13 first downs.

Adams caught four passes for 55 yards, including the opening drive touchdown and a crucial fourth-down conversion.

Valdes-Scantling had an early third-down drop but redeemed himself with a long touchdown to put the Packers up 21-3.

Aaron Jones, who was questionable with a calf injury, has 12 touches and 68 total yards.

Nick Mullens, the 49ers’ backup quarterback, has completed eight passes for 87 yards and an interception. His passer rating is 40.4. Rodgers’ passer rating is 136.3.

Preston Smith’s pressure on Mullens caused Greene’s interception, a turning point in the first half. The Packers scored nine plays later, opening up a 14-3 lead.

Matt LaFleur’s team scored on the opening possession for the eighth straight game to start the 2020 season.

With a win, the Packers will advance to 6-2 to end the first half of the 2020 season.
