While the Tennessee Titans made news late last night with the contract extension for outside linebacker Harold Landry, one move they didn’t make was acquiring quarterback Aaron Rodgers from the Green Bay Packers.

Reports suggested that the Titans were at least in the mix for the future Hall of Famer, but any hopes of bringing him to Nashville were dashed when it was announced he was going back to Green Bay on Tuesday.

Along with his return to the Packers, it was also reported that Rodgers would be getting a massive, four-year, $200 million deal, making him the highest-paid player in NFL history.

Just the thought of a contract worth that much had Titans wide receiver A.J. Brown wishing he played quarterback.

Now that the Rodgers dream is dead, the Titans will be moving forward with quarterback Ryan Tannehill for the 2022 season. From here, the team needs to do what it can to surround Tannehill with more talent and put him in the best position to succeed.
