Aaron Henry will be selected in the first round of this year’s NBA Draft, according to CBS Sports.
Kyle Boone of CBS Sports released an updated version of his 2021 NBA mock draft earlier this week, and Henry is slated to go late in the first round. Boone has the Los Angeles Clippers selecting Henry with the No. 25 overall pick.
Henry is the second highest-picked player from the Big Ten in this mock draft, only behind Franz Wagner of Michigan.
Here’s some of what was said about Henry and the positive impact he could make on the Clippers:
Henry gives the team another body at the position as a college vet with good size who has high-level role-playing potential and a smooth floater.
Henry averaged 15.4 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game this past season, and was by far the Spartans’ best player.
The 2021 NBA Draft will be held on July 29 at 8 p.m. EDT. Hopefully, we’ll hear Henry’s name called relatively early that night just like CBS Sports is projecting.
