Aaron Hansford to sign with the Washington Commanders

Aaron Hansford joins Commanders as an undrafted free agent

According to reports, Linebacker Aaron Hansford  who went undrafted in the 2022 NFL draft, has signed with the Washington Commanders as an undrafted free agent.

Standing at 6-2 and 239 pounds, Hansford has the size and speed to become a reliably rangy sideline to sideline defender at the next level, with the potential to become a reliable Blitzer through his development process at the position during his first couple of seasons in the league.

Because of his aforementioned speed and athleticism, Hansford should become a major contributor on special teams while continuing to learn and refine his skills at the linebacker position, and could be used as a Blitzer in certain blitz packages and 3rd down situations.

Overall, Aaron Hansford checks off multiple boxes from a trait perspective, and he should be in great position to compete for a roster spot.
