Aaron Banks declined chance to play left tackle at Notre Dame

Did he make the right chance?

Aaron Banks was one of if not the best offensive guard in college football last year as the Notre Dame product took home All-American honors.

Banks opted for the 2021 NFL draft instead of an option that he shared with the media on Monday afternoon that the coaching staff offered him the chance to play left tackle if he returned to Notre Dame in 2021.

“I talked to a lot of people, I asked a lot of questions to a lot of former players on what they would do in my position, and the consensus came back that I should leave”

“Three of the guys I played with the last three years were leaving, so I felt like it was my time to depart with them.”

Jarrett Patterson is the only primary starter from Notre Dame’s offensive line in 2020 that returns in 2021.
